Description
Gillian Brent is a sculptor and installation artist based in Sheffield, England. She makes large scale works for gallery spaces and for outdoors.
Gillian works primarily in steel, sometimes combined with other materials.

Her works are usually made as a direct response to the place where they are sited, looking at their environment and how people use the space. They inhabit the space, affecting how it feels and can be used, by introducing form and colour, playing with scale and exploring material. They can be functional such as seating, gates, railings and other architectural features.
